Required Network Access

• Auth0 Authentication Service (HTTPS/443, region-specific):

  • quix.eu.auth0.com (EU region)
  • quix.uk.auth0.com (UK region)

  Purpose: JWT token signature validation and user authentication. Required for platform security. May become optional in Q1 2026.

• api.opsgenie.com (HTTPS/443)

  Purpose: Critical alerting and notifications for platform operational issues.

Strongly Recommended (Developer Experience)

These services are effectively required for normal platform operation. Customers can work around restrictions but this adds significant maintenance burden that becomes the customer's responsibility.

Code Samples & Templates

• github.com (HTTPS/443)

  Purpose: Access to public code samples and templates library. The platform caches samples, but without access, no samples will be available to users. Strongly recommended to enable at least during initial setup to populate the sample library.

Python Package Management

• pypi.org (HTTPS/443)

  Purpose: Python Package Index for installing Python packages during build time. Without access, most Python-based user workloads will fail unless customers configure an internal PyPI mirror.

Workaround Options

If GitHub and PyPI cannot be whitelisted:

• GitHub: Fork Quix public repositories to private Git hosting
• PyPI: Configure Docker images to use internal PyPI mirror or private package repositories
• Important: These workarounds require ongoing customer maintenance and are not supported by Quix

DNS for Certificate Management

Automated TLS certificate issuance requires DNS resolution. cert-manager needs to verify DNS records during Let's Encrypt certificate requests.

Recommended DNS Servers (UDP/53)

• 8.8.8.8 (Google Public DNS)
